In honor of the 50th anniversary of its independence, Singapore has encouraged organizations to celebrate by creating their own version of the “SG50″ logo. AmCham’s logo blends design elements symbolizing Singapore, the United States, and AmCham. The colors red, white, and blue match the colors of both AmCham and the United States. AmCham’s lion head is an iconic symbol representing its longstanding commitment to the lion city of Singapore. In addition, the logo contains 13 stars around its border to symbolize the 13 states that comprised the newly independent United States. Similarly, the stripes reflect the American flag. By incorporating symbols of both countries, the logo commemorates the close bilateral relationship between them and recognizes the progression of both countries from humble beginnings to today’s successes.
